Convert your school's Publisher newsletters to PDF

School offices have years of newsletters, letters home and event flyers made in Publisher. Convert the whole folder to PDF in one go, keep the term and year folders, and put them online or in the shared drive.

Updated October 2026

Why convert the archive

Microsoft retired Publisher in October 2026, and new school computers won't open .pub files. A PDF archive opens for anyone, on any device, and looks exactly like what went home in book bags.

Steps

  1. Gather the files in one folder, for example Newsletters/2023-24/Autumn.
  2. On PubFileConverter, click Choose a folder. Subfolders are kept.
  3. Check the previews and untick anything you don't need.
  4. Download one zip with the same folders and a report.csv you can keep with the archive.

Price

Your first 3 files are free. After that, packs start at 50 files for $19, paid once, and credits never expire. A file that can't be converted is never charged, and you can get a refund within 14 days. See pricing.

Before you start

  • Files with pupils' personal details: only upload what you need to convert, and follow your school's data policy. How we handle files.
  • Office fonts are swapped for fonts with the same widths, so line breaks stay. Check the previews.
  • Old files from Publisher 97 may not convert. You'll see that in the list, and they're free.
